It was a drizzly late afternoon, and I can’t remember where I was headed. I was just following Benedicte, who generously volunteered to show me around Paris, and I was just taking in the busy streets of this part of town.
What I remembered were the prevalence of sign boards in Mandarin (because lots of Chinese tourists visit that part of town, where the Opéra Garnier is situated), and the chaotic vehicular and human traffic.
The shadowy figure in front of me is not the Phantom, but it might as well have been.

The photographs that are compiled into Nisshi Vol. IV is now up on its own gallery here. Printed copies are still available from me (if you’re in Singapore) or via MagCloud, with digital versions free for download. Here’s a photo from the zine.
With this blog, the News section is now irrelevant, and I have taken it offline. This is much easier to update, and after jumping through some horrible hoops, I’ve managed to get this working again. And getting the hang of it. And that could be the start of a new writing spree.
I guess 4ormat is finally rolling out their long-awaited blog feature, so here’s a first post featuring a photo I took while in Paris last year. Here’s to hoping I visit again soon.
My Tumblr will still be active, although I suspect that will be the place for more sharing of others’ photographs. More to come.
